     Dorothy Barnard, moderator of the 1981 General Assembly of the former 
Presbyterian Church in the United States, has accepted a position as 
director of mission for St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. 
     St. Luke's is the only non-Catholic hospital in St. Louis' Sisters of 
Mercy Health System. Barnard's responsibilities will include interpreting 
and integrating Presbyterian and Anglican understandings of health and 
spiritual issues into the system.
