     A story in the March 1 "NEWS BRIEFS" about the committee structure for 
the 208th General Assembly (1996) in Albuquerque incorrectly reported the 
composition of one possible committee.  If there are nominations from the 
floor for stated clerk, a Candidate Review Committee will have to be added 
to the Assembly.  If needed, that committee will be comprised of the 
members of the nine-member Committee to Nominate a Stated Clerk plus 10 
commissioners to be drawn from the existing Assembly committees.  It will 
be chaired by Brian Ellison, chair of the Committee to Nominate a Stated 
Clerk. 
 
     A story in the March 1 the "NEWS BRIEFS" about the Association of 
Presbyterian Church Educators (APCE) workshop titled "Peacemaking in a 
Violent World" should have identified Dr. Marie Fortune as a United Church 
of Christ (UCC) minister. 
 
     The new sales manager for the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation is 
Chris Conver, not Conover, as recently reported in "NEWS BRIEFS."
