ATLANTA--An endowed scholarship fund in memory of the life and ministry of 
the late Rev. Clarence L. Cave has been established at Johnson C. Smith 
Theological Seminary by Delores Fraser Cave, his widow.  Cave served as 
pastor of Faith Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia and served the 
denomination through the Board of Christian Education and Black Mission 
Development office, as well as the Program Agency.  For more information,

SAN ANSELMO, Calif.--The board of trustees of San Francisco Theological 
Seminary has announced the appointment of Ronald C. White as vice president 
for academic affairs, dean of the seminary and professor of church history, 
effective Jan. 1.  Presently White teaches at the University of California 
at Los Angeles and is a research scholar at the Huntington Library in San 
Marino, Calif. 
PRINCETON, N.J.--"The German Connection at Princeton" is the name of an 
exhibit in the Luce Library at Princeton Theological Seminary until 
January.  Several first editions of Martin Luther's writings are featured, 
as well as manuscripts and mementos of several German theologians 
associated with the seminary, including Simon Schmucker, Caspar Rene 
Gregory and Otto A. Piper. 
CHICAGO--The board of trustees of McCormick Theological Seminary recently 
appointed two faculty members to endowed chairs.  President Cynthia 
Campbell was named to the McCormick President's Chair, established in 1914, 
and the Rev. Robert Brawley was named as the Albert G. McGaw professor of 
New Testament.  Theodore Hiebert was named professor of Hebrew Bible, a 
tenured appointment beginning Jan. 1, and the Rev. Jeffrey O'Neill will 
begin Jan. 1 as interim dean of doctoral programs.
