96072     Resources Readied for Rural Life Sunday, April 28

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--"Harmony: People and Places" is the theme for the 
Presbyterian Church's annual celebration of Rural Life Sunday.  The date 
this year is April 28, which also kicks off Rural Life Week in the church. 
 
     "No matter where we live, rural issues affect our lives," said the 
Rev. Richard Poppen, chair of the Rural Ministry Advisory Committee in the 
Evangelism and Church Development Program Area of the National Ministries 
Division here.  "Whether rural or small town, suburban or urban, all 
congregations are encouraged to take this time to celebrate rural ministry 
and explore the opportunities we have to create, with God's help, a more 
harmonious world." 
 
     Resource materials for Rural Life Sunday will be available from the 
Rural Life Office in Louisville in early March.  More information is 
available by calling (502) 569-5232.
