96045       Nominees Sought For Women of Faith Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Women's Ministries Program Area of the National 
Ministries Division is seeking nominations for its annual Women of Faith 
Awards.  The awards will be presented at the Women of Faith Awards 
Breakfast June 30, during the 208th General Assembly (1996) in Albuquerque. 
 
     A nominee "must be a living Presbyterian woman, lay or clergy, who in 
her life exemplifies faith in God and commitment to the mission of the 
Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and who is a leader in the denomination and/or 
in an ecumenical or international arena." 
 
     The 1996 award theme is Woman Witness: Sharing Wisdom.  It calls for 
recognition of the wise, spiritually gifted women who nurture the life of 
the spirit and who help others to grow in faith. 
 
     General Assembly staff members are not eligible. 
 
     Nomination forms are available by writing to Women's Ministries, 100 
Witherspoon Street, Louisville, KY 40202, or by calling (502) 569-5362. 
Deadline for nominations is March 15, 1996.
