     The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Foundation has appointed 
Penelope (Penny) Arnold as its development officer serving 
Charleston-Atlantic, Foothills, New Harmony, Providence and Trinity 
presbyteries beginning Jan. 1.  She will be based in Lexington, 
S.C. 
     Arnold, a Presbyterian elder, has most recently been Hunger 
Action Enabler in Middle Tennessee Presbytery.  She is a graduate 
of Hendrix College and holds a Master of Theological Studies 
(Th.M.) degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School.

     Marvin Perry, former president of Agnes Scott College in 
Decatur, Ga., died Dec. 12 at his home in Charlottesville, Va.  
Funeral services were held Dec. 15.

     Judy McDowell has been named director of the office of 
community outreach of Community Education and Fund Raising, an arm 
of Church World Service and Witness (CWS) in the National Council 
of Churches.  CWS is the ecumenical relief and development agency 
through which Presbyterian World Service channels much of its 
international disaster and relief funds.
