PASADENA, Calif.--Fuller Theological Seminary will begin a deaf ministries 
track leading to a master of arts degree this September. Its purpose is to 
develop spiritual leaders, both deaf and hearing, who are skilled in 
teaching the deaf.  It is a two-year program and more information may be 
obtained by telephoning 818-584-5369. 
 
RICHMOND, Va.--Seven members were re-elected to the Board of Trustees of 
Union Theological Seminary in Virginia, Class of 1998.  They are:  Roxanna 
M. Atwood of Arlington, Va.; Edward G.  Lilly, Raleigh, N.C.; George W. 
Thorpe, Rocky Mount, N.C.; Doris W. Betts, Pittsboro, N.C.; E.  Douglas 
Vaughan Jr., Wilmington, N.C.; John W. Kuykendall, Davidson, N.C.; and 
Price H. Gwynn III, Charlotte, N.C. 
 
DECATUR, Ga.--Dr. Ben Campbell Johnson, professor of evangelism and church 
growth at Columbia Theological Seminary, will fill a new faculty position 
in spirituality.  Johnson's new title is professor of spirituality.  The 
seminary will begin a search to fill the evangelism and church growth 
position. 
 
ATLANTA--Dr. Jacquelyn Grant, professor of systematic theology at 
Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC), has been awarded the Luce 
Fellowship in Theology for 1995-96.  During her year as a Luce Fellow, 
Grant will work on a project entitled, "Servanthood:  Womanist Explorations 
into Ramifications and Impact of the Religious Concept of Servanthood." 
 
SAN ANSELMO, Calif.--Pasquale Castellano was elected president of the 
Alumni/ae Council of San Francisco Theological Seminary.  He is senior 
pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church in South Pasadena.  Cynthia Simmons, 
associate pastor of Congregational Life and Care at First Presbyterian 
Church in Allentown, Pa., is vice president.  Max Kendrick was elected 
secretary.  Kendrick is pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Coulee City, 
Wash.
