                      by Jerry L. Van Marter

A story in last week's News Briefs (#95089) about the planned sale of
Presbyterian School of Christian Education (PSCE) buildings contained two
statements that need clarification.
The story reported that PSCE runs an annual deficit of $500,000. In a
March 22 letter, PSCE President Wayne Boulton stated that the school "draws
approximately $500,000 annually off its endowment ... to balance its
budget."
The story also reported that the plan to ease the school's financial
crisis includes the possible sale of PSCE-owned faculty houses to the
Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (BTSR). The plan calls for the
possible sale of the houses to BTSR after they have first been offered to
faculty members of both PSCE and nearby Union Theological Seminary.

A story in last week's News Briefs (#95082) about the Special
Offerings Task Group incorrectly identified the chair. He is the Rev. John
G. McFayden of Dale City, Va.

K.T. Ockels worked as a PC(USA) mission worker in the Palestinian town
of Ramallah, located on the West Bank. Ramallah is a town, not a
settlement, as it was identified in a March 31 "News Briefs" article
(#95081).
