95175 GHOST RANCH SCHEDULES SEXUALITY DIALOGUE

                      by Jerry L. Van Marter

ABIQUIU, N.M.--Responding to the call of the 1993 General Assembly for
study of human sexuality issues, Ghost Ranch Conference Center has
scheduled its second dialogue on the participation of gay and lesbian
Presbyterians in the life of the church.

The dialogue will be held at the denomination-owned conference center
July 17-24.

Citing the Assembly's call "to give careful attention to the insights
of any who may feel themselves aggrieved by current practices, policies or
laws relating to homosexuality and membership, ministry and ordination in
the church," planners of the dialogue have invited four gay and lesbian
Presbyterian leaders to head up the dialogue.

They are Doug Calderwood, born in Pakistan of Presbyterian missionary
parents and a graduate of McCormick Theological Seminary; Leslie Carlson,
an elder and former clerk of session in Southside Presbyterian Church,
Tucson, Ariz.; Susan Leo, a graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary
and candidate under the care of Cascades Presbytery; and George Lynch, a
graduate of Gordon Conwell Seminary and Union Theological Seminary in
Virginia.

More information on the dialogue is available from Ghost Ranch at
(505) 685-4333.
