95187    ECUMENICAL SPEAKERS FEATURED AT GENERAL ASSEMBLY

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Ecumenical speakers will be featured at two July 19 events 
during the 207th General Assembly (1995) in Cincinnati. 
 
     The Rev. Gregor Henderson, general secretary of the Uniting Church of 
Australia (UCA), will keynote the Ecumenical Breakfast.  Henderson was a 
minister of the Presbyterian Church of Australia prior to the creation of 
the UCA.  He will share his experiences as a Presbyterian participant in 
one of the world's newest united Protestant churches. 
 
     Bishop Othal Lakey of the Christian Methodist Episcopal (CME) Church 
will preach at the Ecumenical Service of Worship.  Lakey is presiding 
bishop of the CME, one of three historic African- American churches that 
are participating in the Consultation on Church Union (COCU).
