to General Assembly Reporting

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Newspapers and magazines, bulletin inserts, computers,
telephones ... and now there is television.
Through a partnership between the Media Services office of the
Congregational Ministries Division and General Assembly Council's Office of
Communication, Presbyterians with satellite dishes will be able to receive
a 15-minute daily telecast of news and information from the upcoming
General Assembly meeting in Albuquerque.
The C-band telecasts will be broadcast each day from July 1 through
July 6 at 11:30 a.m., Eastern Daylight Time, on Galaxy 7, Transponder 11.

Other reports from Albuquerque
PresbyTel, the Presbyterian Church's toll-free information service,
will expand its hours during the June 29-July 6 Assembly. Telephone
consultants will be on duty from 9:00 a.m to 11:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight
Time to provide up-to-the-minute information from Albuquerque. The number
is 1-800-872-3283.
VoiceLine, the recorded telephone information service, will feature
daily recorded reports of the Assembly from the Presbyterian News Service.
Each day's report will be available after 8:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time,
beginning June 27. Call 1-800-872-3283.
PresbyNet, the denomination's computer communication network will
carry daily online reports from the Presbyterian News Service, all news
releases from the General Assembly Newsroom in Albuquerque, and other
Assembly-related information produced by the Office of Communication staff.
General Assembly news and information will also be available on the
Presbyterian Church's World Wide Web site at http://www.pcusa.org.
Summary publications available after the General Assembly
"The General Assembly News" Wrap-Up Edition, produced by the staff of
the General Assembly Newsroom, will be available the week following the
General Assembly. The 12-page newspaper is available for $50 per 100
copies by calling (502) 569-5360 or by faxing (502) 569-8005.
"Assembly in Brief," an eight-page bulletin-insert-size summary of the
General Assembly, will also be available the week following the General
Assembly. A joint production of the Office of the General Assembly and the
Presbyterian News Service, "Assembly in Brief " costs $10 per 100 copies
and can be ordered by calling (502) 569-5360 or by faxing (502) 569-8005.
The September issue of "Presbyterians Today" magazine will feature a
summary of the General Assembly in words and color photographs.

Video highlights of the General Assembly will be produced by the Media
Services Office. The video costs $10 and is available by calling
