    Mission budgets recommended 
 
 
    The Assembly committee on Mission Priorities and Budgets has voted to 
recommend that the 208th General Assembly approve the report of the l996 
General Assembly mission budget and program in the total amount of 
$114,409,468. 
 
    With a comment on the implications of a reduction in staff and 
programs, the Assembly committee is also recommending approval of the l997 
and l998 mission budget and program in the total amount of $113,644,825 for 
l997 and $112,045,775 for l998. 
 
    There will also be a recommendation that the 208th General Assembly 
urge all congregations and presbyteries to complete their bicentennial fund 
campaign commitments and to forward all contributions in a timely manner to 
the appropriate receiving site.
