    It's Marj and mission at small church breakfast 
 
 
ALBUQUERQUE - On Independence Day, about 250 people at the small church 
breakfast at the Doubletree Hotel heard former moderator, Marj Carpenter 
speak about the involvement of Presbyterians in the  founding of our 
country, the importance of small churches, and "surprise," mission, 
mission, mission. She emphasized that, whether small or large, churches 
that do mission are growing churches. 
 
    Ron Fleming promoted the Small Church Celebration conference at Towson, 
Md. in August, and Carol Seaton called attention to the resources available 
for small churches through the National Ministries Division of the General 
Assembly.
