LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) received an honorable 
mention award for the video "Partners in Mission: Proclaiming the Good News 
of Jesus Christ" in the recent "Landmarks of Excellence" competition 
co-sponsored by local chapters of the Public Relations Society of America 
and the International Association of Business Communicators. 
 
     The video, produced by the Church and Public Relations department of 
the Office of Communication in cooperation with the Media Services 
department of the Congregational Ministries Division, was shown for the 
first time at the recent orientation for new General Assembly Council (GAC) 
members here. 
 
     Designed as an introduction to the denomination for visitors who tour 
the Presbyterian Center the video gives an overview of the PCUSA and 
describes the work of the GAC.  Copies have been sent to presbytery 
resource centers around the country to be used in interpreting the work of 
the GAC. 
     
     Copies of the 12.5-minute video may be purchased for $9.95 by calling
