BALTIMORE--A 100th anniversary rededication service for the stained glass 
windows in the First Presbyterian Church of Frostburg, Md., was held Nov. 
3.  The Rev. Steve Shussett, pastor, said the church's 12 windows were 
re-framed for the occasion. The church is located in Baltimore Presbytery. 
 
APPLETON, Wis.--The third annual "Peace Pole" of Winnebago Presbytery was 
presented this fall to First Presbyterian Church of Wausau, Wis.  The 
"Peace Pole" is awarded each year to a church in the presbytery chosen for 
its efforts in fulfilling the Presbyterian Church's "Commitment to 
Peacemaking." 
 
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--At its Nov. 19 meeting, the Presbytery of Tropical 
Florida voted to extend the contract of Jose Rodriguez as its general 
presbyter for one year.  Rodriguez has been chief executive of the 
presbytery since November 1992. 
 
SAGINAW, Mich.--Roy Pneuman, senior consultant with the Alban Institute, 
will lead a training event for church leaders in the Presbytery of Lake 
Huron entitled "Skills for Effective Group Leadership." The Jan. 19-22 
conference will be held at Skyline Conference Center, a ministry of First 
Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, Mich. 
 
BAINBRIDGE, N.Y.--The presbyteries of Susquehanna Valley, Utica and 
Cayuga-Syracuse are joining to offer lay pastor training.  Training begins 
the weekend of Jan. 10-12, 1997, and concludes in May 1998 with a 
commissioning service and awarding of certificates by the presbyteries.
