EPISCOPAL APPOINTMENTS:
(ACNS) The Revd Charles Koete, Rector of the Parish of Tulagi, Gela
Islands, has
been elected the first Bishop of the Diocese of Central Solomons, Church
of
the Province of Melanesia.

The Revd C Wallis Ohl Jr, Rector of St Michael the Archangel  Colorado
Springs, Colorado, has been elected Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of
Northwest Texas, ECUSA.  He will succeed the Rt Revd  Sam Hulsey who
will
be retiring.

The Rt Revd Professor Peter Selby, a former Bishop of Kingston who is
presently Professorial Fellow in Applied Theology at Durham University,
has
been appointed Bishop of Worcester, Church of England.  He succeeds the
Rt
Revd Philip Goodrich who retired last year.

The Rt Revd John Taylor, the retired Bishop of St Albans, Church of
England, has been appointed President of the Bible Society.
