EPISCOPAL APPOINTMENTS

The Revd Canon Gideon Ireri, formerly Director of the Church of the
Province of Kenya Justice and Peace Commission, has been consecrated
Bishop of the Diocese of Mbeere, Church of the Province of Kenya.
The Revd Ijaz Inayat Masih, has been elected Bishop of Karachi, Church
of Pakistan.

The Revd Henry Paltridge, Vice Principal of Bishop Hannington College,
has been elected Bishop of the Diocese of Meru, Church of the Province
of Kenya.

The Most  Revd Arthur Peters, Bishop of Nova Scotia, has been elected
Metropolitan for the Province of Canada.  The Province consists of the
dioceses of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, Central Newfoundland,
Western Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Fredericton, Quebec and Montreal.
The Revd Mark S Sisk, Dean of Seabury Western Seminary, Evanston, has
been elected Coadjutor Bishop of New York, ECUSA.  He will succeed the
Rt Revd Richard Grein.
