    PHEWA Seeks Nominations For Ministry Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Presbyterian Health, Education and Welfare Association 
(PHEWA) has announced that it is seeking nominations for its two ministry 
awards.  The awards are presented at each General Assembly during the 
"Partners in Mission for Christ" awards ceremony. 
 
    One award is presented by Community Ministries and Neighborhood 
Organizations, one of PHEWA's 10 constituent networks, to a community 
ministry that has been faithful and creative in its ministry to its 
community. 
 
    The other award is sponsored by the Urban Presbyterian Pastors' 
Association -- another PHEWA network -- and is given to the ministry of an 
urban congregation that has strengthened its congregation and/or 
neighborhood. 
 
    Ministries -- not individuals -- are eligible for the awards.  Deadline 
for nominations is Jan. 31, 1998.  More information is obtainable by
