    "Presbyterians Today" Seeks Unsung Heroes

    by Eva Stimson, editor
    "Presbyterians Today"

"Presbyterians Today" is again planning to honor Presbyterians who are
quietly making a difference by living their faith.

Last year the magazine asked readers to nominate "unsung heroes" they
knew and featured 10 of them in the June issue. There are many more who
deserve to be recognized -- people whose contributions often go unnoticed
except by those whose lives they touch. Every community has them -- people
making a difference in their neighborhoods, schools and churches.

"Presbyterians Today" invites nominations of unsung heroes so it can
share their stories with others. Send in their names and a brief
description of how thay make a difference. Include a few basic facts --
occupation, church membership, approximate age, racial or ethnic
background. The editors will select a representative sample of the names
received to feature in "Presbyterians Today."

Send nominees by Feb. 1, 1998, to
