United Methodist congregation in Nashville
to be featured on ABC hour-long documentary

	NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) – A United Methodist congregation here will be
featured in an ABC-TV documentary broadcast nationwide on or near Dec. 28.
	"Finding God In Our Time" will spotlight how Hobson United Methodist Church,
once about to close its doors, has emerged as a vital center of Christian
ministry.
	Hobson is one of four congregations that will be featured on the one-hour
program. Other congregations are from the Disciples of Christ, United Church
of Canada and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America traditions.
	The program is part of ABC’s "Vision and Values" series sponsored by the
National Council of Churches. At least 50 ABC-TV affiliates will carry the
documentary.
	Sharing the Hobson story is Pastor Janet Wolf, who said the church had about
30 active members when she was assigned there in 1993. Today, the church has
110 members and a robust ministry reaching community children with
after-school programs and tutoring. The church also provides Bible study,
shelter for the homeless, and youth intervention programs.
	United Methodist Communications produced the segment for ABC. Check local
listings for date and time of broadcasts.
