    Jessi A. Johnson has been named communication assistant for the Synod 
of Lakes and Prairies.  She began work July 13 at the synod's Bloomington, 
Minn., office. 
    Johnson is a graduate of Brown Institute in Mendota Heights, Minn., 
with a degree in visual communications.  She will assist associate synod 
executive for communication and interpretation Linda Post Bushkofsky, 
including working on design and layout of the synod's award-winning 
newsletter, "Presbyterian Life & Times."
