INVITATION: "Justification in the world's contexts"

GENEVA, 30 July 1998 (lwi) - "Justification in the world's contexts" is the
title of a Lutheran World Federation (LWF) conference planned for Oct.
27-31 in the Luther town of Wittenberg, Germany. Organized by the LWF
Department for Theology and Studies (LWF-DTS), the conference is addressed
to young professors and teachers of theology in the worldwide Lutheran
church and invites them to participate in an interdisciplinary and
intercultural dialogue.

Other interested persons, who are not among those participating in the
Wittenberg meeting, are invited to join a discussion forum on the subject
which will open on the LWF World Wide Web site in mid-August. Individual
persons as well as seminary groups may participate in this global
pre-conference to discuss the relevance of the message of justification
from the perspective of their own respective societal and cultural
backgrounds.

at the LWF WWW site <http://www.lutheranworld.org> from mid-August onwards.
