    Presbyterian Preachers Scheduled 
    For "The Protestant Hour"

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-Four Presbyterian pastors - from Pennsylvania, North 
Carolina, Washington and Texas - have been scheduled to preach on "The 
Protestant Hour" syndicated radio program in 1999. 
 
    An ecumenically funded and produced program, "The Protestant Hour" is 
heard on more than 200 radio stations around the country and has been 
broadcast continuously for more than 50 years. The producer of the 
Presbyterian segment is Mindy Marchal of the Media Services Program Team in 
the General Assembly Council's Office of Communication in Louisville. 
 
    The four Presbyterian preachers and the dates of their appearances on 
"The Protestant Hour": 
 
    *  The Rev. William Carter, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Clarks 
Summit, Pa. - Jan. 10, Feb. 7, March 21 and April 18 
    *  The Rev. Larry Hill, pastor of Matthews-Murkland Presbyterian 
Church, Charlotte, N.C. - May 16, June 13 and July 11 
    *  The Rev. Angela Ying, Seattle, Wash. -  Aug. 8, Sept. 5 and Oct. 3 
    *  The Rev. Laura Mendenhall, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian 
Church, Austin, Texas - Oct. 31, Nov. 21 and Dec. 5
