    PC(USA) Partnerships With Overseas Churches Reach 100

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-At its recent meeting here, the Worldwide Ministries 
Division Committee approved three new international presbytery 
partnerships, bringing to 100 the number of  formal partnership 
arrangements between Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) synods and presbyteries 
and PC(USA) partner churches overseas. 
 
    The three newest partnerships are between Whitewater Valley Presbytery 
and the North Kasai Synod of the Presbyterian Community of Congo; between 
Los Ranchos Presbytery and the Limuru Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church 
of East Africa; and between New Covenant Presbytery and the Guatemala-based 
Evangelical Center for Pastoral Studies in Central America. 
 
    The partnerships involve three synods and 92 presbyteries - five 
presbyteries have two partnerships.  Thirty-seven different partner 
churches and ecumenical agencies in 32 countries are involved. 
 
    The three synod partnerships are between the Synod of Alaska-Northwest 
and New Zealand; the Synod of Puerto Rico and Venezuela; and the Synod of 
the Northeast and Madagascar. 
 
    In addition to the three new ones, presbyteries in international 
partnerships (and the country of the partner church) are Albany 
(Guatemala), Baltimore (Guatemala, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands), 
Beaver-Butler (Italy), Blackhawk (Kenya),Cascades (Cuba), 
Charleston-Atlantic (Brazil), Charlotte (Mexico), Chicago (Cuba), 
Cincinnati (Brazil), Denver (Brazil), Des Moines (El Salvador), East Iowa 
(Brazil), East Tennessee (Venezuela), Eastern Oklahoma (Malawi),  Eastern 
Virginia (Congo), Eastminster (Mexico),. 
 
    And Elizabeth (Dominican Republic), Flint River (Romania), Florida 
(South Africa), Foothills (Ghana), Genesee Valley (Jamaica and the Cayman 
Islands), Geneva (Mexico), Grace (Nicaragua), Great Rivers (Brazil), 
Greater Atlanta (Ghana, Nicaragua), Heartland (Guatemala), Holston 
(Mexico), Hudson River (Nicaragua), Huntingdon (Thailand), The James 
(Ghana), John Knox (Kenya), Kiskiminetas (Italy), Lake Erie (Venezuela), 
Lake Huron (Costa Rica), Lake Michigan (Nicaragua). 
 
    Also Lehigh (Romania), Long Island (Cuba), Los Ranchos (Kenya, Korea), 
Louisville (Ghana), Maumee Valley (Mexico), Miami (C¢lombia), Minnesota 
Valleys (Guatemala), Mission (Lithuania), Missouri Union (Hungary),
