The general director of the Evangelical Alliance, Rev Joel 
Edwards, is the special guest on GMTV's Christmas Day 
programme.

The show will be broadcast across the ITV network from 
8:00am on Christmas morning.  From around 9:10am, Joel 
Edwards will chat with presenters Steve Chalke and Anne 
Davies about the significant news events of the last year 
before explaining the true meaning of Christmas.

The Evangelical Alliance was founded in 1846 and is the 
umbrella body which today represents the collective voice of 
more than one million Christians in 30 denominations 
throughout the UK.  Jamaican born Joel Edwards was 
commissioned as its general director last year.
