    Writers Guild Seeks Book Award Nominations

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Presbyterian Writers Guild is seeking nominations for 
its annual "Jim Angell Award." 
 
    The award, with a $500 cash prize, will be given by the guild to the 
Presbyterian judged the best writer to have published his or her first book 
in 1998.  The award will be presented at the Presbyterian Writers Guild 
Luncheon at next year*s General Assembly in Forth Worth, Texas. 
 
    The award honors James W. Angell, author of 19 books, including "How to 
Spell Presbyterian." 
 
    Last year's winner was the Rev. Duke Robinson of Oakland, Calif., for 
"Good Intentions: The Nine Unconscious Mistakes of Nice People." 
 
    The deadline for nominations is April 1, 1999. 
 
    They should be sent to David Steele, 14021 North Whispering Lake Drive, 
Sun City, AZ 8735, and should include a copy of the book and curriculum 
vitae that includes the author's church affiliation.
