    Nomination Deadline Nears For Woman of Faith Awards

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Nominations for the 1999 Women of Faith Awards must be 
submitted by March 15, Women's Ministries Program Area officials have 
announced. 
 
    The awards will be presented at the Women of Faith Awards Breakfast 
during the upcoming General Assembly in Fort Worth, Texas. 
 
    The theme of the 1999 awards is "On Behalf of Women: Reforming Through 
the Word." The awards will recognize women pastors, Christian educators, 
campus ministers, chaplains, theologians, biblical scholars, lay pastors 
and authors who through their ministries "have witnessed as reformers 
through the Word." 
 
    A nominee must be a living Presbyterian woman, lay or clergy, who 
exemplifies faith in God and commitment to the mission of the Presbyterian 
Church (U.S.A.), and who is a leader in the denomination or in an 
ecumenical or international arena.
