Cyber Church, Future Church?

St. Albans, Herts./UK. [ANR/APD] A new survey of
US teenagers and adults suggests that many teens
will eventually use the Internet for their only
religious experience.

George Barna, president of Barna Research Group, says
their research indicates that by 2010 probably 10 to
20 per cent of the population will rely primarily on
the Internet for its religious input. These people
will never set foot in a church because their
religious and spiritual needs will be met through
other means - including the Internet.

Non-Christians are nearly as likely as Christians to
seek a spiritual experience on the Internet (10 per
cent versus 14 per cent). [99/02/06]
