     * $30,000 in Toronto, Canada, for a cooperative bakery
     * $2,851 in Nyaga, Kenya, for a woodworking workshop.

    The five domestic grants were:

     * $30,000 in Orland, Maine, to improve a wreath-making business
     * $30,000 in New Brunswick, N.J., to train young adults toward their
establishment of an investment trust to fund college expenses
     * $30,000 in Detroit to develop a small business marketing products
they have made
     * $31,000 in Beaver, Ohio, to construct a multi-purpose community
center
     * $30,000 in Beattyville, Ky., to purchase a truck to transport
produce to a farmers market.

The national committee certified SDOP committees for the synods of
Alaska-Northwest, Lakes and Prairies, the Rocky Mountains and the Sun.
Also certified were presbytery-level SDOP committees for the presbyteries
of Detroit, East Iowa, Genesee Valley, Homestead, Kiskiminetas, Louisville,
Monmouth, Muskingum Valley, New Castle, New Covenant, Northern New York,
Northern Waters, Salem, Savannah, Scioto Valley, South Alabama, Twin Cities
Area and Western Reserve.

Synod and presbytery SDOP committees, once certified, have authority
and funding to make additional SDOP grants within their bounds.
