Sale of renovated Goshen house will benefit Wolof people

GOSHEN, Ind. (AIMM/MBM) - A newly renovated home in the Grand Prairie
subdivision in Goshen will join the housing market with a series of open
houses beginning March 6. Profits from the sale of the house will
benefit
Friends of the Wolof, a Goshen-based group working to build relationships

among the historically Muslim Wolof people in Senegal, West Africa.

Members of Communion Fellowship, a Mennonite Church congregation in
Goshen,
bought the house and then contributed more than 250 hours of volunteer
labor
to improve the interior and exterior condition of the home.

Open houses are scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 6 and
Sunday, March 7. If the house remains unsold, additional open houses are

planned for March 13, 14, 20 and 21.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, located at 66242 Vegas Court,
features a two-car attached garage, patio, new dishwasher, central air-
conditioning, new carpet and vinyl flooring on the main and lower levels,
and
a small kitchenette on the lower level.

Friends of the Wolof is a network of congregations, businesses and
interested individuals who are committed to establishing an indigenous
church among the Wolof people. As a member of the Wolof partnership
along
with Mennonite Board of Missions and Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission,
Friends
of the Wolof provides financial and prayer support to enable team members
to
live among the Wolof people and demonstrate Christian love in the context
of
Senegal.
