The board of directors for the Presbyterian Publishing Corporation has
reelected Davis Perkins "unanimously and without reservation" to a second
term as the company's president and publisher. If confirmed by the
upcoming General Assembly in Fort Worth, Davis' term would extend until the
2002 General Assembly.
In recommending Perkins' confirmation to the Assembly, the board of
directors stated: "Perkins has provided extraordinary leadership. As a
result of this astute management, PPC is debt-free and has the financial
resources necessary to fund future growth. Whereas Presbyterian Publishing
was losing approximately $1 million per year when he became president and
publisher, PPC has realized positive revenues over expenses in each of the
subsequent five years."
