2000 PLANNING CALENDAR/DIRECTORY, POCKET DIARY AND 
MULTIMEDIA MAGAZINE CD-ROM SET FOR RELEASE
 
VALLEY FORGE, PA. (ABNS)--Beginning in mid-August the 2000 
American Baptist Planning Calendar/Directory and the 2000 American 
Baptist Pocket Diary will be available for shipment from the Office 
of Communication.  

 The 2000 Planning Calendar/Directory is an essential resource 
for pastors and lay leaders alike, containing not only special 
American Baptist date emphases and the Revised Common Lectionary, but 
also denominational contacts, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and 
other information for all 34 regions, various ecumenical 
organizations, American Baptist-related schools and the national 
offices.  The cost is $11.70 (postage paid) for a single calendar; 
multiple copies are $8.95 each plus shipping.  An order of 25 or more 
receives a 25% discount (shipping extra).

The 2000 Pocket Diary is a compact resource that also contains 
special American Baptist date emphases, as well as regional address 
information, national offices and contact names and phone numbers.  
There is plenty of room for your personal notes, addresses and 
planning.

The price of the 2000 Pocket Diary is $6.50 (postage paid) for 
a single copy; multiple copies are $4.95 each plus shipping.  An 
order of 25 or more receives a 25% discount (shipping extra).

The newest edition of the American Baptist Multimedia Magazine 
on CD-ROM will be available for shipment from the Office of 
Communication early in September.  The magazine is compatible with 
IBM-PC or MacIntosh computers and is designed for prospective members 
or anyone interested in learning more about the denomination.  The 
magazine has been significantly updated since the 1997 version, with 
improved navigation, new stories of ministry, video and audio clips 
that can be played on personal computers, the latest edition of the 
Mission Center Resource catalog, and expanded information on American 
Baptist-related colleges and seminaries.  

Additionally, some computers will be able to launch their Web 
browser via text links on the CD-ROM that will connect to the sites 
of many featured American Baptist groups.

The price of the American Baptist Multimedia Magazine on CD-ROM 
is $9.95 for a single copy (postage paid); multiple copes are $8.00 
each plus shipping.  Orders of 25 or more receive a 25% discount 
(plus shipping).  Please allow six to eight weeks for delivery.
