Bullock Honored for 10 Years as Outlook Editor

FORT WORTH--Robert H. Bullock was honored for "10 years of faithful
service" as editor of The Presbyterian Outlook at the annual General
Assembly dinner sponsored by the magazine Saturday, June 19.
Bullock received a standing ovation from the approximately 500 people
who attended the dinner. The Rev. Louis H. Zibinden Jr., pastor of First
Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, Texas, announced that the Outlook board
of directors is granting Bullock a three-month sabbatical and study leave.
As part of the sabbatical, Bullock and his wife, Gretchen, will travel this
fall to Eastern Europe, Germany and Switzerland.
Since Bullock began editing the Outlook, subscriptions have gone up and
the magazine has achieved a balanced budget, said Zbinden. "And in the
days of Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble we still have the friendly Outlook
booksellers."
Zbinden read a statement from the Outlook board honoring Bullock for his
work with The Presbyterian Outlook and the Outlook Book Service.
Continuing a traditional highlight of the Outlook dinner, the four
candidates for moderator of the General Assembly each made a five-minute
presentation.
