Clarifications and Corrections
A story in the Aug. 6 issue of NEWS BRIEFS about the death of Johan
Christiaan Beker (#99243, p. 14), contained a typographical error. Beker
was 19, not nine, when he was forcefully removed from Holland to work in a
Nazi German submarine factory.

A story in the Aug. 6 issue of NEWS BRIEFS about a national
teleconference on violence against women (#99241, p. 10) erroneously
reported that the teleconference is sponsored by Presbyterian Men and
Presbyterian Women. While the Women's Ministries Program Area consulted
with Presbyterian Men in the planning of the teleconference, the Oct. 3
event is sponsored solely by Presbyterian Men.
