LOUISVILLE, Ky.-"Donna's Day," an award-winning television program that
helps parents and other adult caregivers take full advantage of the limited
time they have to spend with the children in their lives, is now being
produced by the Jim Henson Company ("Sesame Street" and "Muppets") and is
airing on the Odyssey Channel.

The half-hour show airs Monday-Friday at 7:30 Eastern and Pacific Time.

The Odyssey Channel is a cooperative partnership between the Henson
company, Hallmark Entertainment, Liberty Media (a subsidiary of AT&T) and
the National Interfaith Cable Coalition, a consortium of 80 Protestant,
Jewish, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Evangelical and Pentecostal faith
groups and tradition. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a charter member
of the coalition and coordinator for media services Ann Gillies serves on
the Odyssey board of directors.

"Donna's Day," created and hosted by award-winning author and columnist
Donna Erickson (who is also its executive producer), originally appeared on
PBS. Erickson is also a contributing editor for "Parents" magazine and a
syndicated newspaper columnist for King Features Syndicate.

In each episode of "Donna's Day," Erickson uses innovative, easy-to-do
and fun activities, recipes and strategies to strengthen relationships
between adults and children and to build family traditions. The cooking
segments feature popular Muppets character the Swedish Chef.

Erickson says her philosophy is simple: "Children are our priority.
They're what we care about most. And it is possible to find fun activities
to make the time we spend with them yeild big results."
