    Planning Guide for Mission Trip Leaders Released 
 
    112-page resource is based on veteran trip leaders' experiences

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-A number of General Assembly entities with experience with 
overseas mission trips have collected their wisdom into a new resource - 
"When God's People Travel Together: A Trip Leader's Planning Manual." 
 
    The 112-page guide is designed "to help trip leaders plan a successful 
mission trip" with "guidelines and procedures to follow before, during and 
after the journey." 
 
    Compiled by Debby Vial of the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program, the 
guide includes: 
 
    *  a planning timeline 
 
    *  sample forms and instructions for leaders and participants 
 
    *  lists of what to pack 
 
    *  leadership team roles and responsibilities 
 
    *  budget worksheets 
 
    *  health and safety tips 
 
    And other helpful suggestions. 
 
    The Trip Leader's Planning Manual is available from Presbyterian
