A computer glitch has resulted in some sections being omitted from Volume 1,
Sections 1 and 2, of the Advance Daily Christian Advocate, sent to delegates
and subscribers late in February.

The Rev. Rich Peck, a staff member at the United Methodist Publishing House
and editor of the DCA, said the missing items will be included in an Advance
Edition 3, to be mailed March 30 from Nashville, Tenn.

The missing proposals include those from the United Methodist Board of
Pension and Health Benefits and resolutions for the Independent Commission
Committee, such as the "Igniting Ministry" proposal from United Methodist
Communications. The new edition will also contain e-mail petitions that were
missing from Sections 1 and 2 of the Advance Edition, as well as petitions
that were inadvertently printed without petition numbers in Sections 1 and
2.

The Advance Edition 3 will be mailed with quadrennial finance reports from
the General Council on Finance and Administration, which were already
scheduled for distribution March 30.

The omissions occurred in the Advance DCA because of a glitch in the
Petition Entry and Tracking System, Peck said. People submitting proposals
to General Conference are asked to make sure their petitions are entered
correctly. For more information, call Peck at (615) 749-6007 or send him an
e-mail message at rpeck@umpublishing.org
