BRUSHWYLER TO RETIRE FROM MIDWEST MINISTRY
DEVELOPMENT SERVICE
 Dr. L. Ronald Brushwyler, executive director of the
Midwest Ministry Development Service, has announced his
retirement, effective this December.
 Brushwyler has been a staff member since 1977 at the
Midwest Ministry Development Service, a part of the American
Baptist Centers for Ministry.   He heads a professional
staff of 11 counselors and outplacement consultants, 16
clinical psychologists and two medical consultants who work
with approximately 1,200 clergy, candidates for ministry and
other persons annually.
 Brushwyler is a licensed marriage and family counselor
and is an endorsed American Baptist pastoral counselor.  He
previously served as an area minister with the American
Baptist Churches of the West (1973-1977) and as senior
minister of First Baptist Church of San Bruno, Calif (1968-
1973).
 Midwest is an ecumenical counseling, assessment and
consulting service with offices in Westchester, Ill.;
Columbus, Ohio; and Kansas City, Kans.
