May 3, 2000, NEW YORK CITY - A new resource for "Building a Culture of Peace with Justice" has just been published by the National Council of Churches. Designed to support "Peace With Justice Week" observances throughout the coming months, the 17"x22" flyer is chock full of action ideas and resources for congregations, ecumenical and community groups, even concerned individuals and families.

- Support the United Nations International Year for a Culture of Peace by signing the Manifesto 2000 to launch the Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World.

- Adopt the Hague Agenda for Peace and Justice for the 21st Century, sponsored by a coalition of civil society organizations.

- Join the call of the World Council of Churches to observe a Decade to Overcome Violence that will make a difference in homes, local communities, within nations and around the world.
