"Assembly in Brief 2000" reported that the 212th General Assembly "called
for a task force to study the doctrine of the Trinity, giving special
attention to finding inclusive-language terms for the persons of the
Trinity."
The Assembly instead called for the study to proceed ". . . with particular
attention to the need to recover terms and images that refer to the being of
the persons of the Trinity, as stated in ‘Definitions and Guidelines on
Inclusive Language'" of the PC(USA).
