Corrections and clarifications

	A story in the Dec. 8 issue of THE NEWS (# 00410, p. 5) about the recent
meeting of the Congregational Ministries Division Committee incorrectly
reported that the division committee approved an expenditure of $125,000 to
reestablish the Office of Family Ministries.

	The committee approved, in concept, the importance of family ministries in
the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and will report that approval to the
General Assembly Council at its February meeting.  The report will not
include a request for restored funding.

	A story in the Dec. 15 issue of THE NEWS (#00431, p. 5) about the candidacy
of M. Anderson Sale for moderator of the General Assembly incorrectly
reported that the Presbytery of the Peaks is based in Blacksburg, Va.  The
presbytery is based in Lynchburg, Va.
