United Methodist board commissions 36 missionaries

A diverse group of 36 missionaries are being assigned internationally by the
United Methodist Board of Global Ministries after being commissioned Dec. 10
in Atlanta.

Hailing from six continents, the missionaries are members of the United
Methodist Church, United Church of Christ, Presbyterian Church USA and
autonomous Methodist Churches in Ireland and South Korea.
   
The missionaries, their home annual (regional) conferences and places of
assignment are: David and Linda Armitage, Methodist Church in Ireland,
assigned to the East Belfast Mission, Northern Ireland; Vicky M. Bigony,
Florida Annual Conference, to Imanuel Methodist Church School and Wesley
School of Theology, Jakarta, Indonesia; and the Rev. John A. Calhoun, New
York Annual Conference, to the Moscow Protestant Chaplaincy, Russia.

Also, Helen L. Camarce, Philippines Central Conference, assigned as area
financial executive in Manila; the Rev. George B.M. Carew, North Georgia
Annual Conference, to GCNN Theological College of Northern Nigeria; Nancy A.
Carew, North Georgia Annual Conference, to the Women's Leadership Training
Center, Zing, Nigeria; and Eun Ha (Grace) Choi and Jae Hyoung Choi,
Presbyterian Church in Korea, assignments pending.

Conference, to the Lithuania United Methodist Church; Ariel D. Robledo
Collins and the Rev. Michael W. Collins, Western North Carolina Annual

Annual Conference, to Rio Colorado Agricultural High School, Bolivia.

Coordinator of Community-Based Primary Health Care, Asia/Pacific Region; and
