by Bill Lancaster
LOUISVILLE, June 9-Korean Presbyterians crowded into the fellowship hall and
adjacent classrooms of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Louisville Saturday
night for a reunion of old friends and the making of new ones at their
annual dinner.
Korean food was the focus of the gathering, in addition to fellowship.
Kimchee, marinated beef, spicy radish salad, seaweed rice, beef broth soup,
cucumber kimchee, bean sprout salad, rice, Korean rice cake, rice tea and
Hawaiian punch were among the foods enjoyed.
Two Korean moderators were present-the Rev. Chung-Sik Park, moderator of
the Presbyterian Church of Korea, and Rev. Kyong-Sik Kim, moderator of the
Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea.
The event was co-sponsored by the Consulting Committee for Korean American
Ministry and the Coordinating Committee of Korean American Presbyteries.
Pastor of the Korean Presbyterian Church of Louisville is the Rev. Moongil
Cho.
