NICHOLAS TITUS, FORMER AMERICAN BAPTIST 
EXECUTIVE IN CONNECTICUT, DIES
 Word has been received of the death Sept. 20 of 
Dr. Nicholas Titus, former executive minister for the 
American Baptist Churches of Connecticut.  He was 85.
 Titus was executive in Connecticut from 1959-
1969.  He also served pastorates in New York and 
Connecticut and directed church-related camps in New 
York and Wisconsin.  He held degrees from Denison 
University and Colgate Rochester Divinity School.
 A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. 
Saturday, Sept. 29 at First Baptist Church, 90 N. Main St., 
West Hartford, Conn.
 Condolences may be sent to his wife, Rachel, at 
400 Seabury Dr., Apt. 2112, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
