Churches sought for Easter worship telecast

Nov. 5 is deadline for congregations interested in national broadcast

by Jerry L. Van Marter

LOUISVILLE - Presbyterian churches are being sought that are interested in
having their Easter Sunday worship services telecast to a national
television audience.
The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), on behalf of the National Council of
Churches of Christ (NCC), is accepting proposals for producing an hour-long
special Easter worship service that would be broadcast on many ABC affiliate
stations throughout the country on March 31, 2002.
The telecast will be produced by Tammy Joslyn of the Internet and Media
Services department of the Office of Communication in Louisville.
Joslyn said she is particularly interested in congregations that incorporate
the arts or multi-media into their Easter celebrations.
The deadline for inquiries by congregations that are interested in this
unique opportunity is Monday, Nov. 5. Contact Tammy Joslyn by email at
Tjoslyn@ctr.pcusa.org, or by phone at 1-888-728-7228, ext. 5209.
