The Rev. Joanna Adams, pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta -
the largest congregation in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with a woman
head of staff - has been elected co-pastor of Fourth Presbyterian Church in
Chicago, the seventh largest church in the denomination.

	Adams, who will begin her new work in March 2002, will be co-pastor with
the Rev. John M. Buchanan, who has been pastor at Fourth church since 1985.

	A renowned preacher, Adams has been the preacher for General Assembly, the
Protestant Hour radio program, the Presbyterian Peacemaking Conference, the
Montreat Worship and Music Conference, the Chautauqua Institution and
numerous other Presbyterian and ecumenical events. During her time in
Atlanta she has been active in numerous ecumenical, interfaith and community
ministries.

	Douglas G. Grace, domestic policy associate for the Presbyterian Church
(U.S.A.) Washington Office, has resigned to take a position as director of
the Interfaith Climate Change Campaign of the National Religious Partnership
for the Environment.

	Grace, who has been with the Washington Office for seven years, concludes
his work there Jan. 11, 2002.

	Jewel McRae-Brown, associate for Churchwide Personnel Services
administration in the National Ministries Division in Louisville, has been
named the national staff liaison to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
Administrative Personnel Association (APA).

	The APA, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, links administrative
personnel from all levels of the denomination, providing fellowship and
support, continuing education and certification for administrative staff
members of churches, governing bodies and church-related agencies.
