UPDATE: AMERICAN BAPTISTS CONTINUE TO GIVE 
TO SEPT. 11 RELIEF EFFORTS 
 American Baptists have continued to give 
generously in supporting those affected by the tragedies 
of Sept. 11 that claimed nearly 5,000 lives in New York 
City, Virginia and southwestern Pennsylvania. 
 As of Dec. 20 American Baptists throughout the 
U.S. had contributed $923,866.17 in One Great Hour of 
Sharing monies designated to assist victims of the terrorist 
attacks.  
 American Baptists wishing to continue to support 
relief efforts can do so through normal channels--One 
Great Hour of Sharing (line 7 of the Monthly Report of 
Mission Support), designating contributions "OGHS--Relief 
Fund for Victims of Terrorist Attacks."  Those wishing to 
contribute online can do so through a special OGHS fund 
established to help the victims and their families.  This can 
be done by accessing the "American Baptist Missions" or 
"Give Now" pages of the ABCUSA Web site--www.abc-
usa.org.
 Updated information and complete press releases 
issued since the Sept. 11 tragedies are available on the 
American Baptist Churches USA Web site-www.abc-
