Series of workshops will be conducted in New York and Washington
by Jerry L. Van Marter
LOUISVILLE - As part of its ongoing response to the Sept. 11 terrorist
tragedy, Church World Service (CWS) is sponsoring a series of workshops and
training sessions for religious leaders who are attempting to meet long-term
needs and challenges brought on by the events.
The events, conducted by CWS' Interfaith Trauma Response Team, will be held
during January and February in New York City, Washington, DC, and New
Jersey. The theme of the workshops and training sessions is "Caring for
Caregivers."
Among the leaders will be religious workers who offered caregiving services
in the wake of the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995.
Sessions will be held in Washington on Jan. 15 and Feb. 19; in New York
City on Jan. 16 and 18 and Feb. 21 and 22; in New Jersey on Jan. 17 and Feb.
20; in Queens, NY, on Jan. 19; and in Bronx, NY, on Feb. 23.
