INDIANAPOLIS (DNS) -- A Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) pastor who leads one of the fastest growing
Disciples congregations in North America is one of the
three featured speakers at Evangelism Connections 2002.

the Episcopal diocese of North Carolina and Roberta
Hestenes, international minister-at-large, World Vision,
and former Presbyterian pastor and educator, will address
the theme "Methods and Inspiration for Your Congregation."

In addition to the three speakers, 10 workshops, led by
pastors and specialists, will offer clergy and lay persons
from small, medium and large congregations "how-to" ideas
on a wide range of evangelism and church vitality issues.

Among the workshop offerings are: Preparing Your Church
for Vitality, Evangelism 101; Multi-cultural Congregations;
Evangelizing in the Midst of Religious Pluralism/New
Immigrant Ministries; and Reaching Postmodern Generations.

The events are to take place in Louisville, Ky., April
12-13 and in Philadelphia, Pa., Nov. 15-16. For more

life-changing love of God by developing partnerships
throughout the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) that
strengthen congregations and leaders to make a difference
in the world by revealing the light of Christ.
