RICHARD ARNESMAN, LONGTIME MMBB STAFF 
MEMBER, DIES
 The Rev. Richard Arnesman, who served for 30 
years on the staff of The Ministers and Missionaries Benefit 
Board (MMBB), died Jan. 26 of cancer.  He was 73.
 Arnesman began at MMBB in 1965 as a field 
representative and was appointed director of MMBB's 
eastern regional office in Valley Forge in 1967.  From 1985 
until his retirement in 1995 he was associate executive 
director.  A certified financial planner, he helped develop 
and lead MMBB financial planning seminars during his 
tenure.
 Arnesman continued to serve MMBB as a financial 
planning consultant and as a member service 
representative in the New York office for several years 
after his retirement.
 A native of Clifton, N.J., Arnesman was a graduate 
of Bucknell University and Yale Divinity School.  Prior to 
joining the MMBB staff he held pastorates in West Haven, 
Conn., and Holyoke and Hanover, Mass.  
 He is survived by two sons, Mark and Paul; a 
sister, Florence Barlow; and three grandchildren.  Condolences 
may be sent to the Arnesman family at P.O. 
Box 915, Devon, PA, 19333. 
 A memorial service has been scheduled for 11 
a.m. Friday, Feb. 1 at First Baptist Church, 415 W. State 
St., Kennett Square, Pa.  The Richard Arnesman Memorial 
Fund has been established by MMBB, 475 Riverside Dr., 
Suite 1700, New York, NY 10115-0049.
